What is the GDPR

The GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) protects the personal data of individuals residing in the European Union by precisely defining the way in which they are treated by the companies and by the data controller, guaranteeing the right to cancel/transfer the personal data from these subjects towards organizations.

The “Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016” is in force throughout the European Union from 24 May 2016.

What risks without the GDPR compliance?

For minor violations, administrative penalties can reach 10 million euros or up to 2% of the total annual turnover of the previous year.

For serious ascertained violations, the sanctions can reach 20 million euros or up to 4% of the turnover coming from the financial year of the previous year.
